About Wild Embers
Since 2017, Wild Embers CIC has been creating opportunities for children, young people, and families to thrive through nature-based learning and outdoor wellbeing programmes across South Devon.
Our dedicated team of experienced practitioners brings together over 40 years of combined expertise in education, trauma informed practice, and outdoor provision. United by a shared passion for the natural world, we believe that every individual deserves the chance to grow, connect, and flourish, both in nature and within themselves.

At the heart of our work is a simple but powerful mission:

To hold creative, safe outdoor spaces where children and young people can connect with nature, themselves, and each other, building confidence, resilience, and a sense of belonging.

Our flagship Transitional Support Programme offers an alternative provision for SEND children and young people across South Devon, helping them navigate change, build emotional resilience, and re-engage with education in meaningful ways.

We work closely with schools, local authorities, charities, and community partners to design bespoke programmes that meet the unique needs of each learner. From outdoor learning sessions to tailored wellbeing interventions, our approach empowers children to explore, express, and rediscover their strengths through nature.
At Wild Embers, we know that outdoor learning changes lives. Every connection made, every muddy handprint, and every moment of discovery strengthens our belief that when we strengthen our bond with the natural world, we grow stronger within ourselves, too.
