Holiday Clubs at Wild Embers
At Wild Embers, the adventure doesn’t stop when term ends. Our popular Holiday Clubs run during the school holidays, offering children the chance to play, explore, and connect with nature in a relaxed and supportive outdoor environment.

Children who enjoy small group settings, love the outdoors, and thrive on imaginative play will feel right at home. Our aim is simple: to have fun, build friendships, and nurture curiosity through a blend of child-led exploration and engaging planned activities.

We offer two distinct Holiday Clubs to ensure every child has the right level of support and enjoyment:
Wild Adventurers
A nature-based holiday club for children who are confident in group settings.
​
Wild Adventurers is designed for children who enjoy active outdoor play and are able to join in group games and activities with light supervision. Days are filled with tree climbing, den building, mini-beast hunts, campfire cooking, nature crafts, whittling, and much more.

Our experienced leaders guide children through a mix of organised and free play activities, encouraging independence, creativity, and teamwork in a safe, friendly atmosphere.

Times: 9:00am – 3:00pm
Location: Pondfields, Dartington

Please note: this club is not suitable for children who require additional support or 1:1 care. We offer a dedicated SEND Holiday Club designed to meet those needs.
SEND Holiday Club
An outdoor 'forest school' style holiday club for children and young people with additional needs.
Our SEND Holiday Club provides a calm, supportive environment where children can explore nature at their own pace, with the care and attention of our specially trained team. Sessions are small (maximum of 6 children/young people to 3 adults), relaxed, and tailored to individual needs and comfort levels.

Activities may include sensory exploration, gentle games, creative crafts, fire cooking, and nature-based play - all designed to build confidence, connection, and joy.
​
Times: 10:00am – 3:00pm (on selected days during the school holidays)
Location: Pondfields, Dartington
Cost: Funded by the National Lottery. We ask for a voluntary donation of £5–£10 per session - the National Lottery will match-fund any donations we receive. If cost is a concern, please contact Richard (richard@wildembers.org) - we don’t want finances to be a barrier to participation.
