Oaks & Acorns
Oaks & Acorns is an outdoor nature inspired session, full of fun; for children and their dads, step-dads, uncles, grandads or other male carers.

What does an Oaks & Acorns session look like?
Our sessions start and finish with a circle practice, where we create a safe environment for meaningful dialogue.

A key part of our sessions include cooking on an open fire, where children and adults can share food that they've cooked together, strengthening the bond between the generations.

Children and young people can explore and enjoy the beautiful outdoor space at Mill Leat Farm on the edge of Dartmoor, and engage in organised activities by the session leader(s).

Adults can benefit from peer support from other male figures and build on skills, such as setting or reinforcing boundaries and delivering these with love, understanding and kindness.

Oaks & Acorns is funded by the National Lottery Reaching Communities Fund - all we ask is a donation of £10 - this will be match funded by the National Lottery, meaning, that every donation we receive, the National Lottery will match that donation to help us to continue to deliver sessions for children and families outside of school hours.
Please don't let the donation be a barrier in booking this session - simply contact Thea to discuss admin@wildembers.org
