Our SEND Family Days offer children with special educational needs and disabilities, and their families, a welcoming space to spend time together outdoors.

​

We know that finding activities where the whole family feels comfortable and understood can be difficult. These days offer space to relax, enjoy shared experiences and connect with others who understand family life with SEND.

​

There’s no pressure to join in with everything. Children can explore at their own pace, follow their interests and take a break when they need one.

What happens on a Family Day?

​

Held at our Ritson site near Totnes, our days bring families together for outdoor play, practical activities, creativity and cooking around the fire.

​

Our experienced practitioners are on hand to help children take part in ways that work for them. Parents and carers can find a listening ear, a friendly chat and the chance to share experiences with other families.

​

Whether it’s trying something new, making a connection or enjoying a quiet moment together, we make room for the things that matter to your family.

New funding, renewed support

​

We’re delighted that funding from National Lottery Awards for All means we can offer our SEND Family Days again, alongside the return of our SEND Holiday Clubs.

​

This funding will support Family Days and Holiday Club days, giving children and families more opportunities to enjoy nature, build confidence and feel connected.

​

We’re incredibly grateful to National Lottery players for helping us bring this support back.
