About our SEND Family Days

Our SEND Family Days offer a welcoming space for children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) or Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges, and their families, to connect, play and recharge in nature.

We bring together a small, friendly group of families, with children of all ages. Many already know us, creating a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere where everyone can feel at ease.

Parents and carers will be supported throughout the day by experienced practitioners, with years of experience supporting children and young people with additional needs. The team will be on hand to offer guidance, a listening ear, or simply a friendly chat. It’s also a chance to connect with other families who understand the ups and downs of SEND life, sharing experiences, encouragement, and support in a calm and caring environment.

Whilst the adults are held in a safe and supported place, children will experience a day filled with outdoor experiences, adventure, and cooking over the fire. Our sessions are designed to support confidence, creativity and wellbeing, whilst having a whole lot of fun!

These sessions are currently funded by The National Lottery Reaching Communities Fund and are run with a suggested donation of £5 - £10 per child.
